Emma, the Interior Mixologist and Lawrence Llewellyn-Bowen at Ideal home show

About Me

If you have landed on this page, I’m guessing you are having a hard time getting your home to look they way you want it, perhaps due to lack of time or that you simply don’t know where to start.

I am so glad you are here as I know every home has the potential to be great so why shouldn’t yours?

I help homeowners achieve the look they’ve always wanted.

Hi, I’m Emma (the one on the right!) and I am a qualified Interior Designer and professional member of the Interior Designers Hub and I am obsessed with helping people with their homes and its a real passion to make their interior dreams come true, so you are in safe hands.

I live in North Lincolnshire with my husband and two children in a house built in 1865 which poses challenges at times!

I love to see the world and bring back treasures that I incorporate in my home and have an endless list of DIY jobs lined up for my husband at any given moment!

I specialise in creating vibrant, colourful homes with character, often blending old with the new to keep everything up to date and into the 21st century. As a Mum myself, I add practicality for family living.

If you are looking for a personality-led interior designer who gets you and won’t follow trends, then I am ready to mix so let’s talk.

Drop me an email using the contact form below so I can mix up your perfect interior blend.

My Approach

  • You can’t quite visualise it

  • You don’t know where to start

  • Life is busy

  • It feels overwhelming

  • Your space doesn’t reflect who you are

Sound familiar?

I can help you visualise what you want to achieve by setting out the ingredients for your home, talking through all the options. I can take those ingredients and with a little mix create a design from concept to completion.

You can be as hands-on or hands-off as you wish when creating the perfect blend for your home.

A beautiful interior is about knowing your ingredients, understanding the mood to create and finding the right recipe.

This is what The Interior Mixologist was built to do.

Simple ideas

So many people follow trends, I don’t do that. My own story began because when planning a new kitchen, I was astounded at the lack of creativity being offered and that all the designers could not put themselves inside a working kitchen to ensure that it worked in the best possible way. So I designed it myself in a logical way, thinking about how I would use the kitchen every day and incorporated my own style (which definitely is not a trend but so me!) You can see the finished kitchen in the portfolio pages if you fancy a gander.

So, I design interiors to match your vibe - whether that’s zesty, bubbly, bold or smooth. Interiors should be mixed to match your personality and no one else’s.

Lasting impact

Using your personality to find the right recipe for you and your home, you will feel like the space you have created is truly and uniquely yours and let’s face it if you love it, it will future-proof your home and can be life changing. Did you know that our homes affect the way we feel? A home that you love can be fantastic for our wellbeing.

I will never tell you what to do, I value individualism and I truly believe that Interior Design can be for the masses and that there is a way for this to be accessible to all.

Your interior is like your favourite drink - refreshing, rich, comforting or sparkling and that will be a reflection of you.

Your space, your flavour.
